Lumber Sales Rep

This position is part of Weyerhaeuser's Northwest Lumber Sales team located in Federal Way, Washington. In our Wood Products division, we manufacture and sell an innovative collection of proven structural frame lumber materials to the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets.

This position will call on existing and new customers to meet current and future volume needs in the Residential, Truss, Treated and Industrial segments. This key role will drive sales volume, maintain and grow existing accounts and develop new customers within these segments. This is primarily an inside sales role with up to 20% travel.

Requirements:
5+ years sales or purchasing experience in lumber and/or other commodity industries
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Proven track record of successfully handling multiple and complex sales with program consultation and selling experience to generate profitable sales
Knowledge of product end uses, market dynamics and product supply channels
Excellent business communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to travel 20% of the time

Preferred:
Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, forest products, sales and marketing, wood technology or related field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
