FWPS AmeriCorps members will serve in AVID elective classrooms, general content classrooms, and after-school programming.

Members serve in a team dynamic and perform small group and one-on-one academic tutoring as assigned by the classroom Teacher.

Member Duties:
Tutor middle school students Lead small study groups Conduct one-to-one tutoring sessions Follow AVID inquiry tutorial process Follow Teacher guidance and instruction Grade Tutorial Request Forms Track Student Data using provided equipment Mentor General classroom support Host after-school homework club Participate in team community projects Member Benefits/Perks:
(Program year 24-25) Education Award - $7,395 Living Stipend - $3,047 Healthcare Childcare assistance 24/7 professional counseling and support services Forbearance of qualified student loans Payment of interest on qualified student loans accrued during service term (paid after successful completion of service term) Professional Development & on-going training
