FWPS AmeriCorps members will serve in AVID elective classrooms, general content classrooms, and after-school programming.

Members serve in a team dynamic and perform small group and one-on-one academic tutoring as assigned by the classroom Teacher.

Member Duties:
Tutor middle school students Lead small study groups Conduct one-to-one tutoring sessions Follow AVID inquiry tutorial process Follow Teacher guidance and instruction Grade Tutorial Request Forms Track Student Data using provided equipment Mentor General classroom support Host after-school homework club Participate in team community projects Member Benefits/Perks:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
